Data Deletion

Self-serve from your account

1. Sign in to app.dealermatrix.ca.
2. Open Settings → Account.
3. Scroll to Delete account, type your dealership name to confirm.
4. Your account is suspended immediately; full data deletion runs within 30 days, and a confirmation email is sent.

Write to support@dealermatrix.ca from the email address on the account, with subject "Account deletion". We'll process the request within 30 days and confirm in writing once complete.

Note: we may retain a minimal record of closed accounts (dealership name, closure date, last invoice) for 7 years to satisfy Canadian tax-record retention obligations. This minimal record is not used for any other purpose.

Most of your data lives at the dealership, not at DealerMatrix

DealerMatrix is the platform a dealership uses to run its business. When you submit a form on a dealer's website (a lead, a credit application, a trade-in valuation), the dealership is the data controller, and DealerMatrix is the data processor. So:

1. First, contact the dealership whose website you used. They can delete your record on the spot from their CRM. Their privacy contact is on their dealer site's privacy page.
2. If the dealership doesn't respond inside 30 days, write to us at support@dealermatrix.ca. Include the dealer's name and the email/phone you submitted. We will delete your platform-level record and confirm in writing.

Direct deletion request

1. Email support@dealermatrix.ca from the email tied to your Meta account, subject "Meta data deletion".
2. Tell us which dealership you connected (or your Meta business ID), and we'll find and delete every reference.
3. You will receive a confirmation email within 30 days, including the deletion confirmation code Meta requires.

Confirmation code format: we issue a code in the form DM-DEL-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXXXX. You can quote this back to Meta if needed.
